Pre and Post-Surgery Care at Ignite Chiropractic
Dr. Lee here, co-founder of Ignite Chiropractic…
Whether you’ve had spinal surgery in the past or were recently told you’d need spinal surgery in the future, I’d like to share something with you that you need to hear….
About 5 years ago, I had a woman approach me after a dinner seminar I had just given on spinal health.
Her name was Amanda, and when she was a mere 20 years old she underwent spinal surgery to correct a severe scoliosis. The surgeons installed metal rods alongside her spine and anchored them with screws into each of her vertebrae, from her sacrum to her upper thoracic spine.
She told me that while the surgery was a success – and her scoliosis was now only mild – she had never been in more pain in her life. Her back, neck and head were constantly in pain, and she lost most of the sensation in her right arm.
Bound to a relentless cycle of muscle relaxers and painkillers, she felt trapped with no alternative.
And to make matters worse, the orthopedic surgeon had somberly informed her that by her 30th birthday, she’d most likely be confined to a wheelchair.
When she asked me if our technique may be able to help her, I felt the desperate hope in her voice.
I will never forget that day…
Fast forward about 2 weeks later, and as Amanda was slowly getting off the table after her first adjustment she burst into tears.
She cried out, “I can feel my hand, oh my God, I can feel my hand!” And through her tears – more to herself than anyone else, she continued on – “It’s gone, the pain is gone – why didn’t anyone tell me about this sooner?” Then she folded herself into the tightest curl her fused spine would allow, tears streaming down uncontrollably.
There wasn’t a dry eye inside the building.
Amanda got her life back that day.
She later shared with me that even prior to her surgery, she was told by all of her doctors, never to go to a chiropractor because of the severity of the spinal issues she was dealing with.
I can’t even begin to process the courage it took for her to trust in us that day… and it’s a trust that I will never take for granted.
Even with the unmatched safety of our cutting-edge techniques, I understand the apprehension you might feel considering chiropractic care, whether after a spinal surgery or even before.
Success After Two Failed Spinal Surgeries
My cousin, who’s like a brother to me, underwent two spinal surgeries, and when it was all said and done – and 6 months of physical therapy later – he was still absolutely miserable, surviving on pain meds, muscle relaxers, heating pads and antidepressants.
Suffice it to say, he was afraid to have anyone touch his spine ever again – surgeon and chiropractor alike.
Partly because I was family, but I think more so out of desperation, he finally agreed to start care in our clinic.
He now proudly credits his last 8 successful years as a master plumber entirely to the benefits of our technique. It’s the most powerful thing that has helped (and continues to help) his back to this day.
You really have no idea how much it means to me to make this level of impact on so many people. It’s what gets me out of bed every morning.
At this point in my career, our clinic has helped patients who’ve undergone (or are facing) just about every shape and size of spinal surgery you can think of…
- replaced discs,
- laminectomies,
- spinal fusions,
- rhizotomies,
- pain pumps,
- discectomies,
- vertebroplasties,
- and titanium rods
And while success can never be guaranteed, the overwhelming majority of our patients consistently experience outcomes that range from moderate pain relief to complete resolution of symptoms.

Our cutting-edge results begin at our assessment.
While you’ve surely had x-rays, MRI’s and CT’s, our clinic uses digital motion study x-rays to evaluate the motion of the individual vertebrae. This revolutionary method of evaluation simply isn’t used in standard orthopedic or neurosurgical offices.
It allows us (and you) to see exactly which bones of your spine are moving properly, and which ones aren’t.
Then based on these x-rays – as well as several other painless spinal and neurological tests –
our team of expert chiropractors
review your findings, and craft an individualized plan designed to give you
the best chance of success based on
current research and the
lessons we’ve learned taking care of hundreds of others with similar issues.
Our Technique
Last thing I want to mention is our technique… We never do any popping, twisting or cracking of the spinal joints.
Our approach is 100% safe for those with even the most sensitive of spines. (In fact, the impressive results we get with pre and post spinal surgical patients could only be possible with a gentle method.)
